For the purpose of aiding patient decisions and hair loss medications and hair transplant surgery, we offer genetic testing to assess potential extent of future hair loss. Additionally we can test the likelihood of a positive response to the drug Propoecia (Finasteride). The results are not conclusive but they can certainly help guide making decisions.
These tests are best suited to young patients who are at a very early stage of hair loss. The test is a saliva swab from inside each cheek and it takes 2 weeks to get the results. Our current price per test is £195. Ask us for more details or go to www.dermagenoma.com
